The Ridge At Blackmore is definitely one of the nicer apartments I’ve lived in. Located in a nice area in a decent neighborhood, places like Walmart the mall and nice restaurants are very close by, walking distance even. But far enough on the edge of town it’s not too busy like it would be walking downtown. The a couple of awesome statues , beautiful pink boulders, rocks and nice tress. You can tell they put some effort into the landscaping. The grass trimming and dumpsters are regularly taken care of. Residents can usually always find a decent parking spot it’s never over parked from what I’ve seen. Some apartments are looking out over the edge of town and have a nice views of the mountain &or the valley with not too many buildings in the way. The first floor patios are pretty decent size. I really like how you can decorate or put out furniture without having to worry about theft. I’ve seen a number of nice patios with residences personal style. The main office is very nice and often host free community events. Every month each unit gets a flyer with local Casper events and sometimes events in the office. Also each newsletter there is a pet of the month and you can enter to get your pet posted in the newsletter for all to see. I think that’s super cool. Our dog even one this January.😀 They put the effort into trying to give you the opportunity for community, not just in the apartments but also in the Casper area each newsletter. Things like holiday decorating contests for your patios, BBQS, bagel bars and other holiday events. Inside the units themselves are nice, I like how there is arches in some of the walkways it makes it feel less boxy, the units feel open. The current/new maintenance supervisor does his best to get himself and his team to do quality service. And get to any issues you may have as quickly as they can. If there’s an emergency they will come and try to fit it asap.

I just wish communication with staff was better. I wish staff was more understanding and would allow you to explain misunderstandings. I wish staff would call back and email back when it comes to fines. Living here has mostly been okay. I just don’t think it’s fair to be potentially facing being evicted for a terrible dog mess that looked like dog waste from a distance from the point of view of someone else’s balcony across the way but it was a mixture of brown, olive green, orange, burnt orange, and black toys that was torn up. Also part of it was from a dog Matt that was white on the bottom and brown on the other side. I can admit it looked awful in the picture but I wish someone had knocked on the apartment door and asked to see the balcony because it would have been a different outcome than being fined and having 10 days to pay or to leave the premises. I have 3 kids, 2 dogs, a recently amputated bf who is in and out of hospitals having surgeries, being the only person trying to keep up with cleaning behind mostly my kids tbh. I put off the balcony mess to worry about staying up my kids butts so they don’t argue. Since being amputated, the elevators have been down multiple times (one time being for weeks) and having to carry everything up and down the stairs. My biggest issues that comes from my apartment and family is crying screaming arguing kids, bark at everything dog, the spots of the balcony carpet my dog chewed up when my kindergartner put him outside the balcony without my knowing, I DID NOT CLEAN THE MIXTURE OF TORN UP STUFF NO WHERE NEAR AS SOON AS I SHOULD OF (I just never would assume or consider it looking that bad from a distance. I felt embarrassed it looked like dog waste let alone getting fined $350), oh and my apartment most times looked lived in but clean, I have a new shampooer I use inside and my old one I use outside on the balcony because you can smell mildew on probably every balcony because of carpet. That smell when you forget to switch over your laundry from the washer machine. That’s not the apartments fault because when it rains or snows and the water is taking forever to try under the carpet, it’s bound to happen. I shampoo he hallway outside of my apartment every now and then too. My dogs will have to only chew toys indoors and not be able to get fresh air for any length of time… DO NOT BUY TAN, BROWN, BLACK, BURNT ORANGE, OLIVE GREEN, OR ANY COLORS SIMILAR FOR DOG TOYS OR IT WILL LOOK LIKE DOG WASTE FROM A BALCONY ACROSS FROM YOURS OR WINDOWS. They’ll hit you with a $350 fee, won’t even investigate what the material actually is, and nobody picks up waste except maybe a total of 7 people because everyone else just leaves the dog waste and there is loads of it all over every patch of grass surrounding the apartment buildings. When you try to get ahold of someone they will claim they are right and be really rude with a huge attitude and say “I’m not arguing with you, you can go to the email with that” and hung up on your face knowing that no matter how many emails or how many times you try to have a conversation about this nobody is going to respond. Nobody is going to care. You spend over like what 1300 to live here and they don’t even care to hear anything you have to say. I have 3 kids and a recently amputated bf who keeps having surgeries trying to save his existing leg… i wouldn’t leave bodily fluids or waste anywhere from anyone. That can literally kill my bf who also sits on the balcony as well. I have 3 kids, if that’s really waste I expect CPS to come knocking at my door because what the what?! I have 3 kids, 2 dogs, an amputated bf, stress from Christmas, stress from being a burnt out caregiver, stress of being a parent in general, stress about being the only one constantly cleaning behind the kids, my bf, myself, and my dogs. It really wasn’t waste and I really should of cleaned it up immediately but someone could of had the decency to come speak with me and ask me about the balcony because I Them to come into my apartment and look at it themselves.

You pay extra for amenities but they are always down. The spa and pool in the north side was down ALL summer. Both Spas didn’t work for a whole year, but you still get charged the full amount. When you move out they make you pay for carpet cleaning and cleaning your apartment but then charge you for it also. Don’t plan on getting any of your deposit back. They also don’t do walk through when you move out and charge you whatever they want. Not worth paying the price for these! Granite 550 is a much nicer place! Blackmore doesn’t update anything!

My daughter and her family have had nothing but problems with the maintenance of their facility. They have been without air-conditioning most of the summer. Now they are without a hot water heater and running water while they have an infant in the house. They keep being told that they have to contact an outside vendor to have repairs and they have offered nothing as Nothing as far as compensation for not being able to stay in the place that they rent

I was hesitant to rent sight unseen after my cross country move, and the reviews had me somewhat concerned as well. That said, other than a hiccup with my move in date when someone unexpectedly renewed their lease (which the office staff were very apologetic for) I haven’t had any issues. The apartment is great, neighbors are nice, it’s quiet at night and it’s near all the stores and amenities I’d want. Yes, there are fees on top of the base rent, but this is all spelled out in the lease so I’m not sure why so many people complain about it. If things change I’ll update my review, but so far I’m very happy with everything.
